SeedingByte is an advertising-funded information publication. That arrangement works only when the reader can still tell where the explanation ends and the advertisement begins.
Advertising may earn space on the page. It does not earn control over the page.
Display advertising
SeedingByte intends to use display advertising, initially through Google AdSense. Ad selection and delivery may be automated by Google and other approved advertising technology providers.
An advertisement appearing beside an article does not mean SeedingByte endorses the advertiser, product, claim or offer.
Placement standards
- Ads should be visually distinguishable from editorial content.
- Ads should not imitate navigation, download buttons, system warnings or editorial recommendations.
- Ads should not obstruct the opening answer, hide evidence or create accidental clicks.
- Ad density should not make the article difficult to read.
- A page should remain understandable before any advertisement loads.
Editorial independence
Advertisers do not select topics, review drafts, approve conclusions or receive favorable treatment. SeedingByte does not change a conclusion because one software, security or technology category attracts higher advertising demand.
The publication may consider advertiser relevance when deciding whether a useful topic can support the business. That economic signal never overrides evidence, safety or reader fit.
Ethical restrictions
Available advertising controls are used to restrict categories and advertisers that conflict with the publisher’s ethical standards.
Programmatic advertising systems are not perfect. An unsuitable advertisement may still pass through automated classification. Readers can report the advertiser, destination URL and page where the ad appeared through the Contact page so it can be reviewed and blocked where possible.
Commercial relationships
Display advertising is SeedingByte’s current primary revenue model. If sponsorships, affiliate relationships, supplied access or another material commercial relationship is introduced later, it will be disclosed where it becomes relevant rather than hidden only on this policy page.
